Old attic insulation, where does it go? Well ultimately, old insulation that is removed ends up in a landfill. 9/10, we dispose of the removed attic insulation to the Orange County landfill. Other times, we take the insulation to the Seminole County Landfill or other local landfills.

For this project, we removed the old attic insulation because the insulation was full of pollen, rat feces and generally just smelled bad. The insulation was also not performing like it should have been.

For this customer, we performed a full attic insulation removal. This was achieved by using our vacuums. The insulation was put directly into the dumpster. Once we completed that, we air sealed the entire home for efficiency, and sanitized the entire attic with DSV.

Finally, we blew in R30 Owens Corning ProPinkL77a and achieved R30 in the home and garage.
