Wall Insulation and Wall Batt
We love wall batt insulation. Installing wall insulation is a tedious, takes a lot of time, and that’s why we probably like punishing ourselves. Wall batt is super essential to a well insulated home. Along with attic insulation, wall batt comes in a close second when it comes to adding more efficiency to your home.
In Florida, wall batting is either installed using R13, R15 or R19 batt depending on the thickness of the wall stud and cavity. If we are using batt to insulate your attic space, we will use R30 or R38 batt insulation.
Generally if our customers are asking about wall batt, a home will probably need to be air sealed as well. Air sealing your home will help seal up the home against hot and cold air infiltrations while adding energy efficiencies to the home.
