This week we had a customer that had zero insulation, yes 0″ of attic insulation. Nothing. Nada. The home apparently did not have insulation for over 20 years when the attic insulation was extracted from the home, but never put back in. The customer states that her bill in the summertime for 1600 sq.ft. averages over $400 and the AC never stops running.
I asked the customer why she did not put insulation back into her attic, and the reply was simple. she just forgot about it overtime.
