A Winter Park Florida homeowner came to use with a desire to make upstairs cooler during the summer. The home has 3200 sqft with about 1600 sqft upstairs. The home get really hot in the summer, downstairs usually stays cooler.
During our inspection, we found R19 attic insulation that was somewhat matted, and over 28 years old. The batting was very well installed, just old and inadequate.

We removed all the batting from the home, vacuumed out any of the left over batting, dust and debris from the attic in prep for the spray foam, We are required to remove all current attic insulation so humidity does not keep trapped in the attic which can lead to mold in the attic and home.
