Not a lot of people ask this question or is it even mentioned, but we always bring is up in conversation when quoting for Spray Foam. Do you need a dehumidifier in your attic after spray foam.
The answer is usually no, but occasionally we do have to. A dehumidifier is a great way to further condition you attic by removing any extra humidity in the attic system. In only 20% of the attic that we spray foam to we recommend adding adding a dehumidifier to an attic system to help keep the moisture low.
Most of the time, the existing HVAC unit will do a great job in removing excess moisture from the attic system, and in this case, you do not need a dehumidifier.
