How do we remove batting from in attic?

Before I answer this question, the question should be asked first. Why do we need to remove batting attic insulation from an attic.

With this attic, we had to remove the batting because the attic had rats. The rats were in the attic for a little over 3 weeks and the attic smelled like urine.

Removing the attic insulation went like this.

1. We crawled into the attic.
2. While wearing gloves, masks, headlamps and gloves, we bagged all the attic insulation into plastic bags
3. All the plastic bags are the removed from the attic.
4. We collect all the plastic filled bags of insulation and load them into a trailer which goes to the landfill.

Once all the attic insulation is removed from attic, we sanitize the attic with DSV. The DSV neutralizes everything in the attic and prepares the attic before we blow in Owens Corning ProPinkL77a.
