Homeowner Had R9, Below Code and We Added R30 Owens Corning ProPinkL77a

A homeowner requested that we perform an attic inspection and during that inspection we discovered that they had R8 attic insulation.

Our conclusion after inspection:

1. Homeowner had below attic insulation.
2. Drywall was showing in several places.
3. 2 AC ducts where leaking.
4. We need to add 10″ of R30 Attic Insulation.
5. We need to add mastic to 2 ac ducts boots.

Location: Orlando, Florida

Concern: $400 monthly summer bill.

Cause: Low attic insulation.

Correction: We added R30 Owens Corning ProPinkL77a to the entire home.
