A homeowner called us last week and wanted to break the hot and heavy heat from his south facing garage. When we arrived at 3pm, the garage was 99F. Upon inspection, the customer did not have any blown-in attic insulation in the garage.
We added 10.5″ R30 of attic insulation to his entire garage which was 440 sqft (average sized 2-car garage).
Update:
Customer called us back 2 days later, stated that his garage peaked at 91F at the same time of day.
