This is one of our insulation removal vacuums This vacuum is 23HP and has a gear for optimal suction. This removal machine is nicknamed the Blue Monster. We have 4 of these machines and a 5th smaller one for a backup.

When we are removing attic insulation from a home, 9/10 times we use two of these 23HP vacuums to safely remove all the attic insulation from a customers home. The insulation is discharged into these larger vacuum bags which then are transported to the landfill.

Questions that we normally receive about attic insulation removal: 

1. How long does it take to remove the attic insulation? This can vary, usually of a 2,000 sqft home, it will take 3-5 hours depending on the type on attic insulation removal.
2. Where does the insulation go after removal? To the landfill.
3. How many people will be in the attic removing attic insulation? Usually we have 2-3 techs in the attic removing at once.
4. Can you sanitize after removal of insulation? YES!. We always sanitize the attic right after removal is completed.
5. Can you install the new attic insulation same day. YES!. Most of the time we are installing new insulation right after we remove, sanitize and air seal your attic.
