This week we had a homeowner that was doing a full home remodel and needed the attic insulation to be removed. The homeowner had removed about 300 sq ft of attic insulation with a shop vac and gave up. We were contracted to remove all the attic insulation from the home, including loose-fill fiberglass, cellulose and batting.
The Longwood home had multiple attic entrances and different additions with different roof lines.
The insulation was so high, it was actually blocking the soffit vents and preventing proper attic air flow and needed to removed no matter what.
Location: Longwood, Florida
Concern: Needed attic insulation removed because the customer wanted to remove the drywall ceiling.
Cause: High insulation, needed to be removed.
Correction: We vacuumed out all the attic insulation from the attic.
