This week we had the opportunity to air seal a client’s home that had extremely high dust and higher than normal humidity. Attic air sealing is really important because it seals the attic air from penetrating into the conditioned parts of the home. The problem with this home is that like most homes that were built before 2020, most are not air sealed.
Attic Air Sealing solves the following things:
- Stops hot and dirty air from mixing into the homes conditioned air.
- Stops humidity from the attic seeping into the walls which will then make its way into the home
- Stops conditioned air from making its way from your home and into the attic
- Stops or slows down the draft effect that contributes to a leaky home
In my opinion, air sealing is one of the most important services you can do with making your home healthy again.
