Our 4-Step attic clean-out and attic refresh is personally my favorite services to offer. This 4-step process is the ultimate package that we offer to get your attic looking, smelling and performing like a new attic.
Step 1 – Attic Insulation Removal and Clean-Out
Once we have accessed your attic, we generally arrive to your home first thing in the morning. We unload our insulation vacuums and prep the vacuum your old attic insulation. We spend many hours vacuuming the insulation from the attic and into our dedicated insulation vacuum bags. The insulation vacuum bags are properly disposed of.
Step 2 – Attic Sanitization with DSV
After the attic insulation removal is completed. We head back into the attic system, and apply our mixture of DSV into the attic system. The entire attic is misted with the DSV solution. This will neutralize a all of the organic compounds in the attic. Sanitization is very important.
Step 3 – Attic Air Sealing
Attic air sealing is super important as this will help stop hot air from entering your home. We only use Soudal Foam for attic Air Sealing (Made in Germany) to attic air seal. All of the top plates, headers, holes in the top plates and and place where hot attic air can infiltrate into your conditioned space.
Step 4 – Installing New Attic Insulation
After insulation removal, sanitization and attic air sealing, we add the proper amount of attic insulation, using Owens Corning ProPink L77a Attic Insulation. We generally achieve either R30 or R38.
